Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is one of the four persons who will be honored this year with the Global Citizen award, which remains the prominent American think tank Atlantic Council.
He will be honored with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Ghanaian President Naka Akufo-Addo and South Korean entertainment pioneer Miki Lee at a ceremony on September 23 in New York on the sidelines of the summit of the UN General Assembly.
According to the Atlantic Council, the Greek prime minister will be awarded in recognition of his remarkable career in both public administration and the private sector, as well as his leadership skills in the governance of the country as well as in transatlantic, European and global affairs.
“By highlighting such remarkable individuals – two men and two women from three continents – we hope to inspire others to emulate their contributions to a better world,” said Atlantic Council President and CEO Frederick Kempe.
