Christos Spirtzis, a member of the Central Committee, was asked to respond to the “hot” question of the days that concerns the interior of SYRIZA, regarding the possibility of his removal from the party.

“If I am removed it will be an honor, because I have expressed my opinions that I will not stop saying them”, he pointed out characteristically adding that he does not question the president, but his tactics in the European elections, as the results were disastrous.

“It is not possible that the ND has collapsed to 28% and the main opposition party is at 14.9”, he underlined and added “When Mr. Kasselakis came out as president, he asked that we would be the first party or even have a small difference”

Mr. Spirtzis, continuing his criticism, emphasized that the party did not function collectively as the bodies did not meet, while in the question whether it is unfit for president of SYRIZA, he said that he “has political inadequacy and instead of making proposals, he has a tendency for communication to be related to his person and to issues unrelated to politics.”

This tactic, as he said, “serves Mr. Mitsotakis, just as it creates constant issues of introversion. Have you ever seen a party president post a black money complaint against a former president? Or make a video and complain that his executives will go to another party with a leader that will be determined by the conflict?” and added “the only one who supports the entanglement with what he does is Mr. Kasselakis”.

“The only one who supports Mitsotakis is Kasselakis”, he emphasized while mentioning that in a short period of time Stefanos Kasselakis has divided the world of SYRIZA. “He doesn’t have a political team to support him to avoid big blunders.”

“On the weekend in the KE on the same day the organizations will be from Velideio to demonstrate against the government measures. Have you ever seen an official opposition party on the day of rallies for the government committee to appoint a KE?”, he asked.

As for what the solution might be, Mr. Spirtzis said that everything is open and possible, concluding that if Mr. Kasselakis loves SYRIZA, he should leave alone.

Regarding the new name, as he said, “he considers it right if St. Kasselakis because it has nothing to do with SYRIZA and its history.”
