In the context of his intervention at the party’s PG – Stefanos Kasselakis had attempted to approach the MP of Chania
The developments in SYRIZA are rapid. Invitation – challenge to Stefanos Kasselakis to set up polling stations immediately to elect a president Pavlos Polakis reportedly addressed during the meeting of the Political Secretariat.
It remains to be seen the reaction of Stefanos Kasselakis, in view of the convening of the critical Central Committee on the weekend, while the stop of the “87” camp is also expected, which also calls for recourse to the base.
It is noted that the president of SYRIZA had attempted to approach the MP of Chania, once a close ally of his, with the move for his reintegration into the Parliamentary Group of the official opposition.
According to his report and him Anthony Angelettothe reinstatement of Mr. Polakis in the KO of SYRIZA was in fact initiated after the deletion of Athena Linou.
“I’m not some kid to be deleted without notice and reinstated with a notice from Nikos Pappa,” however, Mr. Polakis stated, clarifying that he does not intend to back down from challenging the leadership.
Watch the video with Polaki’s statements in the peristyle of the Parliament:
Specifically, as he reported from the Parliament’s peristyle to the television cameras:
“As I stated on the day of the unacceptable deletion, I was, am and will be SYRIZA. The stage was set that day, some are trying to correct the unacceptable to delete me, they thought that would be the way it would be with me.
The quality assessment does not change which I have done for the need for dynamic opposition. Everything I have said is valid, the rest we will tell the Central Committee. You are big guys, that’s clear what I’m saying. We will meet programmatically and value-wise at the Central Committee. I’m not a child to be deleted without notice and reinstated with an update from Nikos Pappas a few minutes before.”
In the previous days, Mr. Polakis had severely criticized Stefanos Kasselakis, speaking, among other things, of the need “changes in the leadership of SYRIZA”.
