Who will be the beneficiary professional teams of this year’s TIF?
By Penelope Galliou
The prime minister is determined to put into practice, from the TIF stage, the government’s repeated and declared positions on the priority of citizens’ everyday life.
With time counting down to Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ customary annual speech at the Vellideo Conference Center, the prime minister himself and his staff are expected to put the finishing touches, with the only pending issue remaining for the next few hours is the additional amount that will arise from the increase in spending by around 500 million Euros for the next year by the European Commission.
An amount which will allow the so-called TIF “basket” to be strengthened with benefits for as many social and professional groups as possible.
But what has been locked for a long time, as government officials comment, is the “profile” of the TIF basket, which will clearly have a social and long-term imprint.
The road map that will unfold over the next two days – during the speech on Saturday night, but also during the press conference of the prime minister on Sunday – will reflect the long-term government strategy, with a horizon of the next three years, until the end of the mandate, the 2027.
As shown by the examples that the government has given so far, the exhortation and goal for the entire next period is not to waste a single day, until the end, “exorcising” the decay, which as they know, the government that produces work inevitably produces .
In fact, as already recorded, the goal of all the members of the government is not to let the efforts and the work that has been produced throughout the previous period be forgotten, but until the time of the ballot in 2027. This will also be the tactic that will be followed in the Prime Minister’s speech at the TIF, taking stock of what has been done and announcing the goals from now on.
In particular, the Prime Minister’s speech is expected to include a total of 36 measures covering a wide range of social and professional groups.
In this light, and given that the health sector was, is and will be a priority for the prime minister, in addition to yesterday’s announcement additional financial incentives for the attraction and stay of medical personnel in the barren regions of the country are expected to be announced as well measures to strengthen the health personnel as well as the infrastructure of the national health system.
The professional groups benefiting from this year’s TIF are expected to include those in uniform, with special mention and support measures for the sector, while farmers can also expect support.
It has already been announced that his return will be made permanent Excise Tax to the farmers, while at the same time an additional increase in their income should be considered certain.
More massive will be the Prime Minister’s announcement on the increase of certain allowances, such as the child allowance, which from 70 euros for each child is expected to 110 euros, while the housing allowance will also increase for vulnerable families who receive it as well as an increase and of the Minimum Guaranteed Income.
Finally, the social measures will include the equalization of three children with those with many children, guaranteeing additional rights and facilities.
