The Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Christian Mickoski, reiterated that he will call his country “Macedonia”, citing his “human right”.
New challenge by North Macedonia’s Prime Minister Christian Mickoski, who today said it was his right, which “nobody can take away”, to call his country “Macedonia”.
In a podcast interview in Skopje, Mickoski, after reminding her Prespa Agreementstating that he was one of the politicians that he considered to be a reality, but also that it is bad, harmful.
In particular, among other things, he said:
“This constitutes my right to (free) expression. I have said this. Where it is necessary to observe the Constitution and the laws I must observe them. Whether I like it or not is another matter. If I like it or not I can say it somewhere else. Until I exercise this office, where the Constitution and the law must be respected (…) This is how things are. But, my right to free expression, the right to (free) speech, is an inalienable right. And, yes, I use the term Macedonia and I will use the term Macedonia, because this is my human right and no one can take it away from me,” Mickoski said in a podcast interview in Skopje.
Referring to Prespa AgreementChristian Mickoski noted: “I was one of those politicians who 5 years ago said that this is a reality, but that it is bad, harmful, yes, I will say that again.”
