The lawyer of Stefanos Kasselakis states that he no longer has information about the financial issues of the party and can no longer be held responsible
Last Friday, September 13, Stefanos Kasselakis proceeded to revoke the power of attorney he had given to Christos Mavrokephalidis, general director of SYRIZA.
Today’s Press Release of the legal advisor of Mr. Kasselakis, Charalambos Pelekis, states: “Given that Mr. Stefanos Kasselakis no longer has information from the party’s bodies on actions and decisions concerning the financial and management issues of the party, it is self-evident that he can no longer have any responsibility for these decisions. Therefore, Mr. Stefanos Kasselakis revoked from Friday 13.9.2024 the power of attorney to Mr. Christos Mavrokephalidis”.
It is noted that the authorization to Mr. Mavrokephalidis was given last April with Stefanos Kasselakis proceeding to revoke it on Friday, i.e. one day after the stormy meeting of the Political Secretariat.
Mr. Kasselakis’ entourage raises the question “after Mr. Mavrokephalidis’ power of attorney was revoked, under whose signature does the party operate today?” Based on article 44 of the statute, only the president can give authorization”.
