The re-approaching of the MPs who have distanced themselves from the Maximos Palace or express dissatisfaction over a series of bigger or smaller issues is put forward by Herodou Attikou.

Attempting to reduce the distance, which may have been created recently and especially after the European elections, with a portion of blue-collar MPs, the Prime Minister opens the doors of the Maximos Palace for his MPs, in an attempt to defuse the climate, which was created with the Salma case but also with the question of “11” and with other critical movements of MPs towards the government.

After all, the issue of direct communication was already raised by several MPs during the first meeting of the parliamentary group, after the European elections, focusing then that the offices of the ministers, deputy ministers and general secretaries of the government should have their doors open in order to they can discuss the issues that concern their citizens and districts.

Corresponding was Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ message at the time that the doors are open, promising to start a round of contacts with MPs.

This time seems to have arrived for the Maximos Palace as tomorrow, Wednesday, the meeting that the Prime Minister is scheduled to have with the party’s deputies, either in Herodos Attikou or in another place, is expected to be finalized, in order to listen to their concerns and their concerns.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis had similar meetings before the European elections in June, when he met with groups of their MPs, whom he had divided into “groups” mainly based on their constituencies.

One was initiated which at the time was positively assessed by both sides, with the aim of continuing post-election.

At the given moment, however, and before the prime minister himself took “action”, ministers have already started contacts with the blue-collar MPs who are members of parliamentary committees that fall within their competence, starting last week with the Ministry of Justice.

Minister Giorgos Floridis and Deputy Minister Yiannis Bougas met with 25 MPs, while today a corresponding meeting of the Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, is scheduled with MPs, followed by the Minister of Education Kyriakos Pierrakakis and other Ministers, who manage important portfolios that touch and influence the everyday life of the citizen.

An important role in these meetings as well as in those that will be planned in the Maximos Palace, is played by the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister George Mylonakis, who has the privilege, as the former Secretary General of the Parliament, to know well the human geography of the ND parliamentary group and can coordinate the two sides.

It is estimated by Piraeus officials that the big celebration organized in view of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the ND faction is expected to contribute to the rewarming of relations between the government and the parliamentarians.

A celebration that, according to those in the know, will not resemble a typical anniversary event, but the organizers wish to give the celebration the characteristic of “returning to the roots” choosing for this reason the first historical base of the SW, in Rigillis, outside the emblematic building in which the entire Post-colonial period and almost all the leaders and emblematic political figures, which marked the 50 years of the center-right faction, were captured.

The event also aims to emphasize the history and the role it played in the political scene from the Postcolonial period and after the party founded by Konstantinos Karamanlis as well as emblematic figures of the faction and all this is expected to be framed by a street party, open not only to the executives of the ND but also to the friends and the public who wants to attend there.
