“Stefanos Kasselakis cannot be our president, he has neither the principles nor the values of the Left”
For all developments in SYRIZA ahead of the internal party elections in November, he spoke on Tuesday morning Katerina Notopoulou to and in “Today».
“Duels and proprietary perceptions of the party leave me coldly indifferent,” said Mrs. Notopoulou initially, commenting on the pre-announcement of the candidacy of Stefanos Kasselakis, at whom she unleashed new “fire” saying:
“The former president’s poster also echoes his perception of SYRIZA. It is not about “our SYRIZA”, but about “his SYRIZA”. And this is because he has a sense of ownership, a very intense “I” that occupies the entire space. Four out of five elements concern his own person, but we are not here to talk about persons, but about policies, which are not drawn up by just one person”.
Referring to the high percentages of Mr. Kasselakis for the presidency of the party, the SYRIZA MP replied that she would not like to comment on the opinion poll findings. “Our percentages are low anyway, as a large percentage of the world has distanced itself from the faction and expects to see responsibility, political seriousness and credibility, characteristics which Mr. Kasselakis proved by the result that he does not have either , nor does he wish to contribute to the relegation of the party”.
“He had too much time, he had the majority of SYRIZA on his side after the split and departure of the former comrades, we were also by his side, but the question is not how much we worship the leader, but how effective we are”, he added.
In response to a question about the intra-party “battle”, Mrs. Notopoulou described it as “open”, while again attacking Stefanos Kasselakis, who, as she said, “does not express the principles and values of the Left”, while also answering a related question about her complaints about bullying, she emphasized:
“I do not criminalize political life, I separate it from everything else, even from aggressive behavior or bullying. At the moment I am waiting for Mr. Kasselakis’ answer, I have publicly invited him to take a position, he is not doing so. You know it wasn’t the only domineering behavior. In any case, Mr. Kasselakis cannot be president of SYRIZA.”
