Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is calling for the immediate release of all hostages and a ceasefire, on the occasion of the one year anniversary of the horrific attack by Hamas on Israel, on October 7, 2923.

“One year after the horrific terrorist attacks of October 7, we do not forget. The people of Israel have the right to live in security. We also repeat our call for the immediate release of all hostages,” the prime minister said in a post.

“Looking to the future, the region must have a chance for peace and security for all, starting with a ceasefire,” he concludes.

In the October 7 massacre, 1,205 people lost their lives and a total of 251 were taken hostage in the Gaza Strip.

A year later, 97 remain in captivity, of whom 33 are dead, according to a military statement.
