Sources close to Haris Doukas accuse Nikos Androulakis of pretentious excuses, on the occasion of the “wreck” of the debate between the two men ahead of the second round of the PASOK elections.

“After 2 days of negotiations, which apparently, on the part of Mr. Androulakis, were pretentious, his staff announced today that the debate could not take place” they note.

“Our proposal was clear: Debate any time and day. As for the excuses about the Municipal Council in Athens, we remind you that he had announced, as early as Monday, a pre-election speech today in Pyrgos” they note.

“Mr. Androulakis proved once again that does not want democratic dialogue in PASOK. He proved that he does not honor his public commitments” conclude the circles close to the mayor of Athens.

According to sources from the staff of Nikos Androulakis, given today’s (Wednesday) postponed meeting of the Municipal Council of Athens, the suitable days for holding a debate were Thursday or Friday. “The proposal to hold a debate on Saturday or on the day of the internal party elections it is completely pretentiousand does not contribute to the validity of the whole process”
