The upheavals in Koumoundourou are continuous with him Pavlos Polakis hiding an “ace” up his sleeve in paragraph five of the conference, with his complaint against him Stefanou Kasselakis for inconsistency of his relationship with reality.

It is alleged, among other things, according to what was reported to the Political Secretariat, that he does not declare the holdings in any type of company and any changes thereof within 2023. This fact alone significantly changed the data of the conference for many reasons.

Despite the fact that its former president SYRIZA he immediately replied that everything is transparent and that it is his initial statement based on the day he became president of SYRIZA, not the annual statement of 2023. He clarified, in fact, that he is not a shareholder or participates in any way in any offshore or foreign company.

His change of attitude Pavlos Polakis will count for a lot in the conference clash. The member of parliament from Chania, from the line “I don’t want to write him off, I want to win him over”, told the Political Secretariat yesterday that it is not possible for the president of a radical Leftist party to file false allegations. “After the new information, my behavior changes,” he is reported to have said.

What does this mean? How the majority in the body of the conference for Stefanos Kasselakis’ non-participation in the elections becomes even clearer. The presidium of the conference, which will be proposed by the majority, gets an extra push to “cut off” any request from the Kasselakis side for his participation in the electoral process by strictly adhering to the agenda and the decision of the Central Committee.

All this has clearly raised the “thermometer” to the red. Stefanos Kasselakis, with his continuous postings, calls on the approximately 2000 delegates, who his own side claims were elected, to meet tomorrow at Iera Odos. Fears of deviations exist despite the fact that the former president of SYRIZA points out that everyone must be calm and sober. What will happen inside and outside the multipurpose hall when a request is submitted for the former president’s participation in the election race is difficult to predict. Party congresses are not places and fields of protest, but places of policy production and the situations experienced in Koumoundourou are once again unprecedented.
