The ND-PASOK confrontation is heating up in the parliamentary seats, with Adonis Georgiadis and Dimitris Manzos in the trenches, on the occasion of the amendments tabled by Harilaou Trikoupi for the minimum wage and for the inclusion of health workers in the heavy and unhealthy category.

“They have tabled the amendment for heavy weights 23 times. So many partners did not find to tell you that we have submitted it so many times but you said about a question of SYRIZA?”, asked Mr. Manzos in response to the Prime Minister’s reports adding: “citizens know and do not judge with the non-optimum. The political implication is that you are stuck in another era. You have confused the Parliament with the national garden, you think you are coming here to take a walk.”

“To caress ears, you tell the world to be left without doctors”, replied the Minister of Health, stressing that “we badly believed that PASOK would take even one step of seriousness because unfortunately you cannot”.

“You are lying, Mr (Moulkiotis). Together we passed the Vroutsis law, abolished collective bargaining and created a mechanism. So it is not PASOK’s permanent position. If it happened now – when you are a small party – the fixed position of PASOK while when you were big you voted the other way around means that you prefer to be small! The big parties take responsibility and you, with your strategy, are depriving Greece of an alternative proposal”, stressed Adonis Georgiadis, commenting on PASOK’s amendment on the minimum wage. “Are you selling Syrian populism and accusing others of it? Aren’t you ashamed?” concluded the Minister.
