On Wednesday, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis presided over a meeting with the Minister of Environment and Energy Theodore Skylakakis, the General Secretary of Natural Environment and Water Petros Varelidis and the Regional Governor of Thessaly Dimitris Kouretas, during which the next steps for the staffing of the administration of the newly established Water Management Organization were presented. Thessaly.

In the context of the meeting, an account was taken of the anti-flood and irrigation projects that have been launched, both by the Region and by the central administration, for the water department of Thessaly.

The Prime Minister also had the opportunity to talk with the newly appointed executive management of the Organization, the proposed President, Professor Nikos Derkas, and the proposed CEO, Thanasis Markinos. Kyriakos Mitsotakis was also informed about the filling of the positions of Vice President and Deputy CEO, by Irini Karalariotou and Thanasis Korkovelos.

The Prime Minister asked the leadership of the Ministry of Environment and Energy to proceed quickly with the procedures for the appointments and operation of the ODYTH.

With the assumption of its duties, the new administration of the ODYTH will soon be in Thessaly, in order to present to the agencies of the region the first steps of the Organization as well as the issues related to the implementation of the Watershed Management Plan.
