Initially, Mr. Voridis stated that action will be taken in accordance with what was announced in yesterday’s presentation, while for the possibility of any delays due to appeals he pointed out that the country is in a state of law, therefore the sense of security of the citizens must be strengthened through a supervision of driving behavior . At the same time, regarding the complaints that the project was delayed, the minister did not disagree, citing technical issues related to the relevant announcement.

“Know that the system we have created for public contracts is heavy and demanding. Not bad, because there we have weightings of interests. That is, on the one hand, we must do everything quickly, on the other hand, procedures must be followed that strengthen the integrity of the process without doing strange things. I think that at the moment the public procurement system is in balance at the moment, I am not in favor of making it even more flexible, because it will have risks.”

“We have to start seeing the victim’s side as well. In the past, we focused too much on the rights of the accused, but we must also listen to all those who are affected by various criminal actions. And I mean that their rights are heard institutionally in the context of a general prevention” he added.

In fact, answering why the faces of those who violate the KOK will not be recorded, the minister emphasized that these offenses are in the vast majority tried as negligence. “He who runs a red light, has drunk and drives negligently, has negligent behavior. There is a perception here that in these cases it makes no sense to reveal the face of this accused. I am of the opinion that each case must be evaluated”.

At the same time Mr. Voridis stated that steps have been taken regarding her fan violence due to a stricter framework, with the behaviors of sports agents having to enter a more normal framework and order.
