At the same time, in the context of his interview, he underlined that, for the first time, the work allowance is being introduced for the subsidized unemployed who find a job. In particular, he clarified that those who find a job, during the period of payment of unemployment benefits, will continue to receive 50% of unemployment benefits, until the scheduled date of expiration of the period of payment.
Among other things, Mr. Hatzidakis referred to another provision of the bill, which provides for the deletion from the register of unemployed, after three denials of suitable jobs. “If OAED gives you three jobs corresponding to your profile, your abilities and close to your place of residence and you refuse, you are removed from the register. This is a fair measure, which should have been implemented a long time ago “, clarified the competent minister.
Regarding the minimum wage, Mr. Hatzidakis stated that, in about 45 days, there will be a placement of the Minister of Labor in the cabinet and a relevant decision of the cabinet. “The prime minister’s commitment remains that the increase in the minimum wage will be significant. We have created in the past two and a half years the conditions on a sound and solid basis, so that there is a significant increase in the minimum wage.
