Nikos Androulakis’ meeting with Kyriakos Mitsotakis lasted one hour and 15 minutes and according to PASOK-Change Movement sources it was a productive discussion between the prime minister and the official opposition leader.
According to the same sources, the whole “fan” of issues that concern the citizens and the country was discussed. OR accuracyh housing crisisthe demographicforeign affairs policy (Western Balkans, Turkey, developments in the Middle East) and issues rule of law.
Mr. Androulakis proposed the recommendation of the National Committee for Addressing the National Demographic Question with representation of the parties, the self-government and all the bodies involved, a proposal which Mr. Mitsotakis, according to PASOK-KINAL agents, sees positives.
“It is for us the leading national and social issue with economic and developmental ramifications, which requires a long-term coherent national strategy,” sources from the official opposition party point out.
In addition, Nikos Androulakis raised again the need for a recommendation of the Single Consumer Authority in matters of accuracy.
In its context constitutional review Mr. Androulakis proposed to change the way of selecting the leadership of the Judiciary and in particular to regulate that the judges who will be out of service will not assume public office until after three years have passed.
Regarding the wiretapping case, Mr. Androulakis at this point insisted on the immediate compliance of the EYP with the court decision of the SC for his information, the same wounds report.
It was also recorded disagreement of the two men regarding the reduction of VAT on basic goods, the golden visa and the extraordinary levy on bank profits, for which PASOK-Movement of Change has tabled relevant amendments.
