If the shaping of the center-left landscape goes through the election of the president of the Republic, there will be many ferments and behind-the-scenes processes that will follow. The PASOK during this period he is in the advantageous position to monitor both New Democracy and him SYRIZA to be faced with the dilemma of choosing the venue and the audience that will mainly direct their gaze. Today’s majority was arguably driven to victory in 2019 by the center. In this way, SYRIZA also dominated in 2015, taking advantage of the elimination of PASOK, which reached a historic low of 4.6%. The element that differentiates the political scene is the rise of the influence of Harilaou Trikoupis in the specific moderate public after her predominance Nikos Androulakis in the October elections. This is what the latest opinion polls show at a time when the blue party is under pressure from its right.

In this environment, Kyriakos Mitsotakis will largely indicate the path he wishes to chart by the person he will nominate for the highest state office. It is normal to hear different voices on whether the prime minister should give a signal to her traditional audience New Republic so as to stop the “bleeding” from the right, or will he look to entrench the center, as this audience has the most fluid behavior.

He is in the same dilemma Socrates Famous who wishes to keep the balance within SYRIZA. THE Pavlos Polakis it is clear that he does not see the turn towards the center with a good eye. The new president does not want to leave behind the most radical part of Koumundourou for this reason and has made an open invitation to New Left. At the same time, however, the “key” of “governance” is held by the center and it is the only way for SYRIZA to detach itself from the small and medium-sized poll results in which it has found itself. This, however, includes the risk of being crushed within the “millstones” of New Democracy and PASOK. The “geographical” political orientation for Koumoundourou has always been difficult with him Alexis Tsipras to have been strongly criticized in the past by the left wing for the enlargement he attempted.

Nikos Androulakis must also make careful moves both to his left and to his right, but his natural space is the center. One is the fear that exists for all the “players”: When you step on two boats, conditions of confusion are created for the voters, but also a blurred picture that does not help to produce a clear policy.
