“The decision of the prime minister and president of New Democracy Kyriakou Mitsotakis to be included in the ballot papers of our faction for the 2027 elections in the B1 North sector of Athens is a huge honor and responsibility for me” says the deputy minister to the prime minister and government representative in a post on social media Pavlos Marinakisafter announcing his candidacy for the upcoming national elections.

And he explains the reasons: “- Because it comes from the leader who, in the midst of global crises and wars, is day by day turning Greece from a pariah of Europe into a country-protagonist. In a homeland that rises in stature, shielding its defense and national dignity. But also in a modern state that knows how to overcome problems and progress, always staying by the citizen’s side.

– Because this is a development that turns into a big personal bet to become the voice of thousands of residents of the 14 Municipalities of the Northern Sector in the Parliament. To convey there the anxieties of the women, men and young people of Agia Paraskevi, Amarousi, Vrilissi, Galatsi, Heraklion, Kifissia, Lykovrysia-Pefki, Metamorfosis, Nea Ionia, Nea Philadelphia-Nea Chalcedon , of Papagos-Cholargos, of Penteli, of Filotheis-Psychikos and Chalandrios, devoting my own strength to make their hopes come true.

– Because I believe that this relationship is and will be two-way. From the position of the Government Representative, after all, I find every day that no political action has substance if it is not permeated by the pulse of society. Something that my work as a combat lawyer also taught me. This, then, will be my pursuit as a member of parliament if the popular will defines it as such: to represent “Greece that wakes up early”, as one of my favorite messages formulated by our party says.

– Because as a young person in public life, I also want to fight to change the image my generation has of the political system. Not with slogans, “buzzwords”, wooden talk and aphorisms. But with arguments and practices that convince and give true perspective. Building on the 500,000 jobs created in the last 5 years. Investing in the digital state being built. Changing, what held us back and forced many of our friends to leave Greece during the crisis.

– Because from the time of my studies in Law, even through the struggles of the DAP-NDFK, I found the value of your claims to be in line with the law of the many. Knowing that one is in politics only as long as it is the desire of the citizens. That is why the cross of preference of the voters of the Northern Sector of Athens will be my permanent compass. And Mr. Marinakis concludes in his post:
