In his New Year’s message, the president of PASOK-Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakis, underlines his central goal of creating an environment of social security with hope and perspective for the entire Greek people.

After pointing out that “we still have a lot to achieve in order to make our society fairer, our democracy more qualitative and our country more resilient”, he emphasizes that “we must have as our compass goals, which strengthen the separation of powers, which focus on strong public health and strong public education». “To create an environment of social security for the worker, the small and medium entrepreneur and of course the new generation. With a more productive economy, whose benefits will be fairly distributed. Only in this way will the inequalities, which are currently widening, be truly and decisively reduced, giving hope and perspective to the whole of the Greek people“, he emphasizes.

Mr. Androulakis points out at the same time that we live in an unstable geopolitical environment, to note that “that is why upgrading the geopolitical position of our country and protecting our sovereign rights is a priority for us”.

“We are leaving behind an important milestone, the completion of half a century of post-colonialism, so we must, with self-criticism, foresight and a plan, open our step as a society to the challenges of the future.

We still have a lot to achieve in order to make our society fairer, our democracy more qualitative and our country more resilient. The Greek people demand more meritocracy, transparency and justice.

That is why we must have goals as our compass, which reinforce the separation of powers, which focus on strong public health and strong public education.

To create an environment of social security for the worker, the small and medium entrepreneur and of course the new generation. With a more productive economy, whose benefits will be fairly distributed.
