Preparations for tomorrow’s swearing -in by the new Speaker of Parliament, Costas Tasoula, take place intensely in the House.
Red carpets began to unfold on the floor, decorative flowers are transported to adorn the building, and clarifying signs are placed at the necessary points to facilitate attendees.
The new President of the Republic Konstantinos Tasoulas, tomorrow, March 13 at 11:00, will come to the Greek Parliament in order to swear.
Immediately afterwards he will lay a wreath at the monument of the unknown soldier and then go to the Presidential Palace to take over his duties.
It is recalled that Kostas Tasoulas was elected President of the Republic with 160 votes and is the ninth person who has been in the High State since 1974, after Michael Stasinopoulos (1974-1975), Konstantinos Tsatsos (1975-1980) (1985-1990), Konstantinos Stefanopoulos (1995-2005), Karolos Papoulias (2005-2015), Prokopios Pavlopoulos (2015-2020) and Katerina Sakellaropoulou (2020-2025).
