Kostas Diamantis, a historian of PASOK and a member of the Second Thessaloniki from 1989 to 2004, passed away.

PASOK’s grief bid farewell to Kostas Diamantis:

With sadness we bid farewell to Kostas Diamantis, who has passed away today.

Consistent with the struggles of the Democratic Party since its accession in 1974, he served the public interest from the positions of responsibility. He was, among other things, a member of the PASOK Thessaloniki Prefecture, and fought successive battles at the national level of five -time MP with PASOK.

He left his own political mark on the local government, being a municipal councilor since 2006 in the Municipality of Chalastra, and he was also secretary of the PASOK local organization.

Our sincere condolences to his relatives

He joined PASOK in 1974 and served as a party official in Thessaloniki. He was elected president of the Chalastra Community from 1978 to 1986. Member of the Board of Passenges since 1983, he assumed the president of KYDEP in 1987. In January 2004 he was out of PASOK ballots.
