Mr Plevris described Mr Tsafos’s report as offensive to “Homeland and Hellenism”
In a sharp post, ND MP Thanos Plevris commented on the issue that has arisen from earlier positioning by the new Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy Nikos Tsafos.
Mr Plevris, referring to a “offensive reference to homeland and Hellenism”, expressed the hope that the explanations given by Mr Tsafos and were accepted by the government to be “honest”.
It is noted that in an earlier post, Mr Tsafos had referred to the “Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus”.
The whole post of Mr. Plevris:
The reference to the occupied “Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus” is offensive to our country, Hellenism, our dead and the missing and hurts us. The explanations that were deemed sufficient as well -meaning I wish they were honest.
