Increases from 13% to 20% in payroll of Armed forces announced on Friday afternoon (28/3) by the Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendiasas part of a press conference for the specialization of increases for the uniforms announced by the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

As he explained, the increases will start on April 1, 2025 and will be completed on October 1, with the total cost being EUR 268 million and 60% of this aid coming from the rationalization of structures from agenda 2030.

“It is the minimum indication of their contribution,” he said, noting that the government is processing ways to strengthen political staff.

At the same time, the minister referred to the residential creation program to stay the executives transferred to the Region, to the medical care and care system, the upgrading of military education, to the new fairer salary proportional to the posts.

Specifically, referring to examples, Nikos Dendias said:

  • Captain with 18 years of pilent will see an increase of 5,532 euros
  • Officers’ Schedule will see aid 2760 euros
  • Dean EPOP with 3 years of service will see a reinforcement of 2,232 euros
