Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met in Israel with Beniamin Netanyahu, with the two leaders first having a private meeting and then an expanded debate.

During the meeting, the two leaders reaffirmed the Greece -Israel strategic relationship and discussed the further deepening of bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of defense.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Benyamin Netanyahu exchanged views on regional developments, with an emphasis on the Eastern Mediterranean, as well as the challenges in Syria, Lebanon and the Red Sea.

The prime minister underlined the importance of connectivity and energy works of common interest in stability in the region.

As far as Lebanon is concerned, Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized the importance of stability in the country and observing the truce in the southern Lebanon.

He also noted the need to liberate the hostages and cessation of Israeli businesses in Gaza.
