Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will go to Rome to attend the funeral of Pope Francis.

At least 170 representatives of governments from around the world are also going to attend the ceremony and security measures will be strict.

Tens of thousands of people are already in the Vatican for the last two days to pay their respects in the late Pontiff.

Pontiff’s body was moved earlier with a procession to the Basilica of St. Peter from the chapel of Santa Marta. There he will remain in an open coffin until Friday to allow those who wish to pay their respects.
