Parking only in organized camping will now be permitted in accordance with the relevant law as explained by the Ministry of Tourism.

In particular, it is foreseen that citizens/visitors with caravan can be parked in organized camping, That is to say, in operations that operate legally and meet all the hygiene and safety standards of visitors and in general the legal and environmental specifications, thereby putting an end to the abusive occupation of forests, seaside, archaeological sites and generally in common use.
It is noted that the relevant provision is essentially implemented in full harmonization with the existing institutional framework as it was legislated by Article 10 of Law 392/1976 and Article 7 of Law 4276/2014 that prohibits the installation of scenes or parking of caravans, archaeological sites, seaside, seaside, seaside, seaside, Communist spaces, as well as hosting beyond one caravan by shopkeepers or individuals.
Further, in the provision, it is explicitly mentioned that parking is also permitted in accordance with the provisions of Article 34 of the CCC, already legislated since 1999, which has been in force and states “…Inhabited areas are forbidden to park trailers, caravans and vessels, in addition to 24 consecutive hours. Their parking can be performed in appropriate fenced places defined by the respective municipalities or communities …“
Finally, it is explicitly allowed to allow a free parking of a caravan (hospitality), while further use of a business is required. This puts a barrier to the illegal business activity at the expense of lawful and with specific camping specifications.
The Ministry of Tourism continues, according to the announcement, to work, with a vehicle to comply with legality, to ensure the quality of travel experience and protect and upgrade the country’s destinations.
