The three ministers underline their willingness to cooperate with Washington in critical areas such as energy security, fighting terrorism, innovation, digital technology, civil protection and cyber security. As they point out, “the Eastern Mediterranean is gaining increasing strategic importance as a hub of energy and infrastructure connecting Europe, the Middle East and Asia.”
