Opposition parties do not intend to put aside the Tempi case simply because the House only decided to refer Kostas Karamanlis to the misdemeanor of the breach of duty. The result, after all, the rejection of the other two proposals did not make any surprise. Nor did they expect that there would be leaks in the New Democracy that would worry about Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Since the target of the 154 MPs was caught – whatever it happened – everyone in the majority was happy.

Why will opposition parties insist on the Tempe accident? They believe that the process was in such a way by the blue line that the former Transport Minister would “fall into the soft” and in essence to be acquitted from a very early age. There are, however, a number of events that will follow and “squeeze” Maximus. The pre -trial investigation for Kostas Karamanlis as long as it lasts, but also the two judicial councils that will be convened for the one for Christos Triantopoulos. The case will again come to the forefront through the trial of the loss of 57 people in February 2023. It is not excluded that it will cause a new round of mobilizations such as those in the early 2024. It will be a long process that may begin before the end of the year.

In any case, the political landscape is partially changing. Under the New Democracy, PASOK poll and freedom sailing appear from the latest measurements to fight for second place. Double -digit percentage want the Greek solution and the KKE to catch, while SYRIZA and the new Left want to recover immediately. This means that targeting exclusively in Tempi cannot continue. It may still be the “fan” of criticism for the government to touch on other issues, such as OPEKEPE, accuracy in the market and national issues, but this should be done in the next time. Measurers have shown that the one -way opposition has not helped. It is of great importance which image will be played by the minority parties before August and with what “forums” they will enter in September when the new political year begins with the Thessaloniki International Exhibition.
