At a time when the New Democracy seems to find its own tutorials, surpassing the 30%psychological threshold, OPECEPE’s case comes to spark new reflections on Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The opposition is almost certain that they will proceed with a new pre -trial committee to raise the tones of criticism against the government once again. But he is not the only “headache” that the prime minister has to face on the road to the elections. The battle of the “center” may seem to be controlled and not threatened at this time, but what it needs is to “shield” the blue line on its right.

It is no coincidence that last week he was in Thessaloniki where the majority showed the highest losses in the last elections. The Greek solution “flew” to northern Greece at percentages that approached and exceeded 8%, depriving significant forces from the New Democracy. In Evros, Imathia, A, II Thessaloniki, Pella, Serres, Kilkis and Pieria Kyriakos Velopoulos’s party recorded its highest rates. It is a goal for Kyriakos Mitsotakis to “fortify” to his right, as there is now the voice of Aphrodite Latinopoulou, which is a threat. In the last period, however, it has a stagnation.

It is clear that the parties on the right of the New Democracy will bet on national issues as they address a conservative -patriotic audience, watching very closely developments especially with Turkey. The new issues that have been opened with the Sinai Monastery and the illegal Turkolibyyan Memorandum will push the blue line quite a bit, as there will be answers as to whether there was oligarchy on the government. In this context, Antonis Samaras already criticizes rumors of creating a new party constantly. The former prime minister has enough time ahead of him to think about what he will do. A possible mobilization before the election will be a major obstacle to the New Democracy’s goal of achieving self -reliance for the third consecutive time. Antonis Samaras has ardent supporters across Greece and from the fact that he does not open his papers nothing can be ruled out. In his speech at the War Museum last Tuesday, he said that “I will continue to talk about my homeland, because it is a matter of responsibility.” In any case, the New Democracy will have to limit the leaks to its right in the near future.

The “equation” must take into account the deterioration that the government has suffered by completing two terms of power. Citizens cannot give them some mitigating for reforms that were not made, as the time it had was enough. In an extremely unstable international environment, the world is usually rally under the “flag” especially if there is no alternative government proposal. And this is something that Kyriakos Mitsotakis will take advantage of.
