PASOK President Nikos Androulakis made a post on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the death of Andreas Papandreou.

Mr. Androulakis begins his posting, noting that “today it is 29 years since the death of the founder of the Panhellenic Socialist Movement and three times Prime Minister, Andreas Papandreou, the man who embodied and made his expectations of the Greek people.

Guided by the slogan of “Change”, Andreas managed to unite the pre -dictatorial center, the anti -dictatorial struggle and the radical tendencies of the youth of the time into a single, multi -faceted, democratic movement, which promoted large, structural reforms. ”

To continue by stating that “during his life he received the domestic and international recognition he was attributable, even by his political opponents. His name has been indelibly engraved in the pages of Greek history, being a reference point for the political life of the place.

“His struggles for democracy and socialism are a huge political legacy, which is a constant source of inspiration for all of us,” concludes PASOK president.
