The lifting of the parliamentary immunity of the 14 MPs of the ND who participated in the pre -trial committee for former Deputy Minister Christos Triantopoulos is requested by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Parliament following a lawsuit by Maria Karystianou.
The lawsuit was reportedly forwarded to Parliament on Thursday, June 19th, with the first reason being the relevant Parliamentary Ethics Committee, which will meet in the coming days. The president of the Association of the Tempe -in -Tempe -like accident is against the 14 majority MPs (Panagis Kappatos, Konstantina Karampatsolis, Maria Antoniou, Giorgos Vrettakos, Angeliki Delikaris, Thanassis Zebilis Papasotiriou and Asimina Skondra) attributing accusations of ultimate betrayal, breach of duty and abuse of power, to participate in the drafting and voting of the New Democracy finding.
The question, however, arises regarding how the Public Prosecutor’s Office has forwarded a case -by -case case file for the exercise of their parliamentary duties, as according to the Constitution the MP is not pursued or examined for the above actions.
The majority staff is expected to meet today at noon to determine the next moves.
