By the decision of the Board of Directors of the Union of Judges and Prosecutors, the judges fall from Monday, June 30th until Wednesday, July 2, at two -hour workstations from 10am to 12pm, in protest for the new Code of Civil Procedure.
It was also decided to conduct an electronic vote, “to determine the impact of the proposed arrangements on the quality of the judiciary”, while a new appeal will be sent to the European Union of Judges.
The announcement of the Association of Judges and Prosecutors is as follows:
“Extraordinary Board of Directors was convened today to decide the Union’s stance towards the draft law on the Code of Civil Procedure, which degrades the quality of justice, taking exclusively of arithmetic and quantitative objectives.
It was unanimously decided with the participation of 14 members:
(a) Court vaccines from Monday 30 June until Wednesday 2 July from 10:00 to 12:00.
(b) Re -appeal to the European Union of Judges in order to be informed of the content of the bill and to take a position.
(c) The conduct of electronic voting, to determine the impact of the proposed arrangements on the quality of the judiciary, with the participation of our members, on Thursday and Friday, July 3 and 4, for which there will be detailed information.
We invite colleagues to participate massively in both electronic voting and in the consultation process by posting comments in the critical articles of the draft law.
It will be convened again next Saturday July 5th, after the outcome of the vote and the meeting with the Minister of Justice to redefine his attitude“
