The course of four major projects, with a total budget of € 7 million funded by the Attica Region, in the Municipality of P. Faliros, was examined at the meeting of the Regional Governor Nikos Chardalia with Mayor Yiannis Fostoropoulos, and a new presence was also launched.

Specifically, during a meeting held at the Town Hall, with the participation of the Vice Mayors, the timetables and initial steps of implementation of the following projects were examined:

  • Creating a new pool and an energy upgrade of the adjacent to the Municipal Swimming Pool, with a budget of 1,850,000 euros.
  • Manufacture of flood -protection infrastructures, with pacing and water wells at water accumulation of € 1,192,000.
  • Complete renovation of the flagship Cultural Center “Flisvos” and the redevelopment of the surrounding area with the addition of a lift and the preparation of studies of adapting the preserved building, budget of 2,950,000 euros.
  • Functional and environmental upgrading of El. Venizelos, budget of 1,205,000 euros.

After the meeting, the Regional Governor Nikos Chardalias in his statements emphasized the importance of the practical presence of self -government on the side of the citizens, noting: “Here, in Paleo Faliro, in collaboration with my good friend and workers’ Mayor Yiannis Fostiropoulos and the Municipal Authority, we design and implement interventions that solve chronic problems and highlight the potential of the city. Every project we carry out has a specific integration plan, funding and targeting that meets the needs of citizens. This was also our great stress in the first year of our term. Personally, I was trying to prioritize the projects and integrate them into the right financial tools. We ended up in 280+1 projects for all of Attica (plus one is a Metropolitan Park “Aenon” in Falirikos Bay), which are funded by 19 different financial tools. It is not an easy exercise. But today we know where we are going, what we want and most importantly how to do it. “
