Patras and Preveza will visit successively Monday, Deputy Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, responsible for state relief, Kostas Katsafados, in the context of government initiatives, to coordinate the support and restoration actions of the areas.

As part of Mr. Katsafadou’s visits:

– At 12:00, a wide -ranging meeting with the Regional Governor, representatives of local government and bodies in the area, will be held in the building of the Region of Western Greece in Patras.

– At 17:00, the Deputy Minister will be in Preveza, where a similar meeting will be held at the Town Hall of the Municipality of Ziros in Philippiada, with the participation of the mayor, elected and competent services in the area.

The meetings are held with the aim of recording needs, immediately activating state relief and shaping a rehabilitation and support plan for affected local communities.

As noted by the ministry, the government’s state relief committee, which has already met, in collaboration with all relevant ministries and local bodies, has drawn up a comprehensive network of measures aimed at immediate restoration of life and productive activity in the affected areas.

Included:

– Housing subscription for damaged homes.

– financial support for households to meet first needs and repairs.

– State help to businesses, with a grant of up to 70%.

– Three -year exemption from ENFIA for affected properties, based on the autopsy of the General Secretariat for Natural Disaster Rehabilitation.

– Extraordinary funding of Local Authorities, to repair infrastructure and critical networks.
