The “deafening collapse of the government’s narrative of Health by Eurostat”, is mentioned by PASOK-Machine Health Secretary George Frangidis.
Specifically states in a statement that:
“- 21.9 % of citizens over the age of 16 in our country did not receive the necessary medical examination or treatment, due to economic reasons, large waiting lists and distance from health providers in 2024.
– Negative first for Greece, with our country holding the highest percentage of non -performing medical needs – even increased compared to 2023 – between EU Member States, with the European average ranging from 3.6% and Cyprus to 0.1%. “
Mr Frangidis emphasizes that “there must be immediately and decisively to block the enormous inequalities experienced by citizens daily with the partial privatization of the public character of the NHS, the systematic degradation of primary health care, explosive rise in private health and private expenditure.
He comments that “it is necessary for Mr Mitsotakis to leave the posts of a virtual reality and Mr. Georgiadis the Napoleon style and to seriously deal with the major problems of public health that every Greek citizen faces daily.”
