Renewal, accountability and collective responsibility, the core of the new shape
According to the Regional Authority, the new administrative form of the Attica Region reflects the steady commitment to renewing persons and the rotation of roles as a tool of responsibility and accountability. The gradual allocation of responsibilities and the utilization of all elected regional councilors are a central axis of this philosophy.
In particular, a structural rotation is applied to the new figure, as all spatial and thematic vice -governors who serve in paid position are changed. This principle ensures the fair distribution of responsibilities, the active involvement of all executives and the enhancement of collectivity. “No one is permanent, no one is over” it’s the motto of the new shape.
It is also confirmed once again the strong involvement of women in positions of responsibility.
Executives leaving the positions of Vice -Governors continue to offer new roles, conveying their experience and knowledge, while those who take responsibility for the first time have the opportunity to prove their value in practice, creating a circle of renewal, continuity and mutual support.
In addition, the re -evaluation of Attica’s needs after 20 months of office has led to the decision to upgrade portfolio of executive advisers to thematic oppositions, so that the administrative regimen responds more directly and more complete to the demands of citizens.
At the same time, strategic coordination is institutionally supported by the new “Strategic Planning Coordinating Body” in order to monitor the course of all projects in all 66 Municipalities of Attica and to have complete and measurable results.
The aim remains the net division of responsibilities and the constant accountability, which enables every citizen to know who is responsible for which work, as well as the continuous assessment of effectiveness.

Immediately after the presentation of the new administrative regimen of the Attica Region, Nikos Chardalias emphasized in his statements:
“I recently announced the changes of the new form of our Vice -Mayors and Executive Advisors for the next twenty months of our efforts. No one is permanent, no one is left in the Attica region!
The administration of the largest region of our country, the capital of our country has never been an easy task. It is always a big bet, but also a composition for every leader, for every regional governor. In our Attica these first 20 months I must publicly admit that all of our regional councilors worked hard and mainly methodically. All of our Vice -Regional Governors and Executive Advisors, as well as those who were entrusted with responsibility and administrative powers for this first twenty -month completed, have contributed decisively to all that we have launched and succeeded.
And I am extremely pleased, but also grateful, for the effort of everyone, in the months that have passed. With my decision today, I made many changes to the administrative scheme ahead of the new second twenty months. Changes that emit our general philosophy as a new administration and are compatible with my public commitment to equal opportunities, for a fair distribution of responsibilities and responsibilities and responsible, gradual utilization of all our elected Regional Advisors over the years, during our 60 months. Responsible, with a group spirit of synonym, with a specific plan, with a strategic approach to responsibility objects and, above all, respecting the vote of citizens, we are moving forward.
I would like to thank and publicly congratulate our outgoing vice -governors for our zeal, dedication and effectiveness in these first months of our new venture. They will continue their efforts for the next 20 months, either from positions of executives or next to me, in the new Strategic Planning Coordinating Body – which I created with my decision to assist and monitor our project next twenty -month – or from our new positions. Their experience, their inexhaustible passion, their talent and their sense of offer are important. The assistance to the new colleagues who take responsibility for the first time will be valuable.
At the same time, I wish the new vice -governors good luck in their new duties and invite them to work hard, with the seriousness and modesty imposed by the circumstances, to justify my choice and the expectations of our fellow citizens in the 66 neighborhoods.
The regional team of 51 elected Regional Advisors of our “ATTICA FRIEND” lines continues strong in the next second twenty months.
Together, united, by putting the “we” above any reasonable personal ambition of offering, away from meaningless, supernatural, vanity or other rationales, we work daily to get a measurable result.
We all work together, with a plan, with a high sense of responsibility, with a look at the anxieties and concerns of our millions of fellow citizens who require us honesty, morality, consistency, continuity and responsibility.
We all work together, knowing that we are all state-owned workers and our occupation with the region is not a profession but a bet and creation bet.
We all work together, with respect to the value of the principles we set from the first moment between us, struggling to be useful and effective every day in every corner of our Attica.
So good power to everyone! We continue dynamically, all together, to get our place ahead and just ahead! ”
