Heavy fire against former Minister of Rural Development Maki Voridis the former president launched OPECEPE Gregory Varraarguing that the then minister demanded his expulsion in order to continue in lawsuits.
However, he stressed that there was no intervention by Mr Voridis in the checks, showing the then Secretary General of the Ministry, George Stratakos. “He tells me, why is Xylouris’ wife controlled? I was surprised. And I wondered if someone gave an order within the context of legality. I call the person in charge of Crete. He tells me that it is a sampling check and not to interfere with Stratakos »stressed the former president of the organization.
Responding to Mr Lazaridis’ question about his possible disagreements with the then minister, he flatly refused. “We left laughing. And I was surprised to read that there was friction, there wasn’t »he added. Mr Varras, however, described Makis Voridis’ “Agree” ‘Unlike European Defecids’. “They wanted to make a bad and inappropriate payment, problematic to go to the Prime Minister, my relationship with him has been from 2000 and is very good, friendly. So Boridis will go to the Prime Minister and say “Look to see your own president made them mandate and we have breeders and farmers on the rails”he argued, referring to his resignation. He even attributed it to Mr Voridis, for the sake of two companies:
GRIGORIS VARRAS: It was at the request of Neuropublic and so simple.
MILENA APOSTOLAKI: And with whom?
GRIGORIS VARRAS: The Minister.
MILENA APOSTOLAKI: Which Minister?
GRIGORIS VARRAS: Mr. Voridis.
