The police guard of the Parliament prevents relatives and members of the Guarding Group of the written names of the Tempe victims in the Syntagma, who had an invitation from the KO of Pleusis Eleftherias, to watch the session of the Plenary from the gallery, Zoe Konstantopoulou claimed with her intervention.

According to the president of Plevsis Eleftheria “the police guard at the entrance of the Parliament does not allow relatives and members of the Guarding Group of the hand-made monument with the written names of the 57 victims of the Tempe tragedy on the Constitution to enter the galleries if they do not remove the badges that say “To the End – 57 – Justice” or if they do not cover their shirts with the slogan “Until the end…” or have photos of victims’.

Mrs. Konstantopoulou argued that this “is another sign of authoritarianism even within the Parliament” claiming that it is “shameful that there is such intimidation. The policemen tell them that in the galleries you will not make a noise, you must not speak, you will not express yourself. To check what they have in their bag. They should ask why they have a banner in their bag.” Mrs. Konstantopoulou said these things “do not happen in any other country” and in “no democratic country such rules are applied that repel society and democracy”.
