Nikos Dendias: The crisis in Ukraine concerns our basic principles – We must have a clear position

The Minister of Foreign Affairs is currently participating in the Council on Foreign Affairs. Nikos Dendias. The agenda includes a discussion on further coordination of actions of EU member states after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

On arrival, Mr. Dendias stated that the issue on the agenda is again the war in Ukraine.

The Foreign Minister stated that he would inform his colleagues about his recent trip to Odessaon April 3, as well as for the efforts of Greece to transfer humanitarian aid not only to Odessabut also in Mariupolwhich – as he said – we find extremely difficult because of the problems caused by Russia.

Mr Dendias said he would urge his colleagues to speed up decisions on Libya and the Western Balkans, because if the EU does not act now, there is a risk that the EU will face new theaters of instability.
