The revelation of the reality regarding the speed of awarding pensions was made by Head of the Parliamentary Group of the Movement for Change Mr. Michalis Katrinis talking about the bill of the Ministry of Labor.
He stated that the total outstanding pensions in the summer of 2019 was about 200,000 while two and a half years later, in December 2021 they increased to 270,000 in which 45,000 lump sums and 23,000 dividends must be added.
At the same time, he submitted evidence that deconstructs the narrative, as well as the government’s choice to entrust private accountants and lawyers with the possibility of issuing pensions, in order to speed up the process.
According to Mr. Katrinis, unofficial data that exist in e-EFKA, for the period November 2021-January 2022 report, less than fifty (50) draft pension decisions were issued by certified accountants and lawyers, most of which showed errors! !
He reminded that the New Democracy government promised, 2 years ago, the issuance of a digital pension in one day and that at the end of 2021 80% of the pensions will be digitally distributed, without any of them being done.
As Mr. Katrinis said, the award of pensions can not proceed quickly until EFKA is computerized and there is no interoperability with other computer systems.
He also referred to proposals of the Movement for Change for the faster granting of pensions which include:
– Uniform Insurance and Benefits Regulations.
– Acceleration of the procedures for the computerization and digitization of EFKA and its interconnection and interoperability with other computer systems.
Immediate replacement of obsolete technological equipment
-Strengthening of EFKA with specialized staff through ASEP.
Mr. Katrinis noted the proposal of the Movement for Change for social housing and the offer of cheap rent for housing to young couples, which was promptly appointed by the president of the Movement for Change Nikos Androulakis.
Mr. Katrinis was a total critic of the bill and referred to disastrous government labor policies, such as:
The elimination of the obligation of a collective agreement for the regulation of working time, a fact that leaves the employee unprotected in the employer pressures.
-The removal of the right of the social partners to negotiate the minimum wage, through the National General Collective Bargaining Agreement.
-The protection veil spread by the government, preventing the cancellation of illegal dismissals and the weakening and degradation of the Labor Inspectorate.
“The government of Mr. Mitsotakis and its ministers realize that they are no longer playing alone. They realize that they do not have the SYRIZA of unreliability and sloppiness against them. Opposite them is the Movement for Change, which speaks with evidence and submits proposals.
Against them they have the soul of PASOK, which over time has offered hope and dignity, substantial support and care to the employees, the insured, the pensioners, the unemployed.
“The conservative faction has never had and will never have anything to do with concepts such as social policy and social security.” stressed o Michalis Katrinis.
