The claim for compensation from Novartis pharmaceutical company for the insult of the Greek state with a reservation for any additional damage that will be determined by the Greek Justice, the government begins.
“Implementing our government commitment to claim compensation from the company Novartis for all illegal practices and according to the minutes of the NSC, we take additional (3) actions”, announced the Minister of Health Thanos Plevris.
These actions according to the announcement are the following:
a) mandate to set up a trading committee
b) ordering the appointment of a law firm in the USA to defend the rights of the Greek State; and
c) an order for bringing an action before the Greek Justice for claiming the compensation for the offense of the Greek state with a reservation for any additional damage that will be determined and which has already been prepared.
The statement of the Minister of Health Thanos Plevris in detail about the Novartis case is detailed:
“Implementing our government commitment to claim compensation from Novartis for all illegal practices and in accordance with the minutes of the NSC, we further carry out the following actions:
a) mandate to set up a trading committee
b) ordering the appointment of a law firm in the USA to defend the rights of the Greek State; and
c) an order for bringing an action before the Greek Justice for claiming the compensation for the offense of the Greek state with a reservation for any additional damage that will be determined and which has already been prepared.
“Unlike the SYRIZA government, which invested in the conspiracy and did not claim anything from the company, the ND government is taking all measures to hold Novartis accountable and compensate the Greek state for its illegal practices.”
