The Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias paid a working visit to Haguewhere he met with his Dutch counterpart Wopke Hoekstra.

Mr. Dendias provided a detailed briefing on the rise of Turkish delinquency underlining the need to respect international law, in particular the law of the sea, and reiterated that the revisionism is a practice that has no place today.

In view of his forthcoming visits to the Western Balkans, the Foreign Minister referred to the European perspective of the region, emphasizing that it is a one-way street for security and stability, not only of the region, but of the whole of Europe.

The debate also revolved around NATO and Sweden’s NATO bids.

The Foreign Minister reiterated his full support for these demands and said that this process, which takes place under special circumstances, should not be exploited for selfish purposes.

Both Ministers agreed to continue close cooperation, both bilaterally and within the European Union.
