Perisic tells Tottenham fans and future opponents what to expect from him

Ivan Perisic promised a “great effort” to the Tottenham Hotspur fans after a free transfer from Inter Milan.

The versatile 33-year-old has a wealth of experience in North London, playing for the likes of Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Wolfsburg and Inter before joining the Premier League and playing 113 times for the Croatian national team.

Formerly a striker who worked as a wingback at Spurs under Antonio Conte, Perisic is known for his pace and ability to fill the required places, and what will he bring to the new club?

“First, I’m going to put in a lot of work. I like work a lot. I like working as a team because that’s the only way to win something important,” Perisic said.

Conte and Perisic collaborated at Intel to win the Serie A title in 2021, with the Croats again warming up to the Italians to great success.

“It’s a privilege to work with such a coach again,” he said. He played well at Inter and won the league in 10 or 11 years. It was a wonderful year. I’m glad to meet you again. I think we are going to do some good things here in England.
