Marco Asensio reckons he may be at the crossroads of Real Madrid’s career amid rumors that super agent Jorge Mendes has offered him to Manchester United.

The 26-year deal at the Bernabeu is due to expire in 2023. It is unlikely this summer to be extended as Real is the last chance to earn any cash.

After overcoming the injury problem, Asensio played 31 games for Real Madrid (scoring 10 goals) in the LaLiga campaign and eight games on the way to Champions League glory.

But his future at the club is questionable, according to a Spanish TV show. Elchiringito Mendes was looking for a new team for his client and offered it to his new United Manager, Erik Ten Hag.

The Dutch have revealed the right wing as a field for teams that need to strengthen and want to buy a striker. He is also in a relationship with Chelsea’s Hakim Jech and former Ajax manager Anthony.

Despite being happy in the Spanish capital, Asensio himself opened the door to a possible exit -and coach Carlo Ancelotti assures that he still has faith- and will decide on his future in the coming weeks.

“I have one more year on my contract and I’m talking about leaving Real Madrid here. This is an important moment for me and I don’t deny it,” he told AS.

I am more mature and not only on the pitch, this is an important moment and I have to make important decisions.

My family and I know that we need to grow and keep moving forward. I want to achieve something important in football, and they help me with that.

When asked if he wanted a more prominent role, Asensio continued: However, I still have a lot to do.

“I keep working because I want to be the best player I can. I think this season has rewarded me, even if I haven’t played a few minutes. I want to play more and contribute more to the team.” I am

I know what our coaches think. He is happy with my season and trusts me. That’s what he told me.

It’s true that I didn’t have time to think about the Champions League final and the festivities, but when the next two weeks of selection are over I’ll talk about everything.

This is what matters to my agent. When the next game against Spain is over, we have to think about it. I want to keep growing and achieve more. “
