Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement for Lukaku to return on loan to Inter.
The Belgian footballers returned to Stamford Bridge in the first season after transferring 97.5 million from Intel last August.
Lukaku made 44 appearances for Chelsea last season, scoring 15 goals, expressing his club’s anger in an interview with Italian media in December and unhappy with his condition under Thomas Tuchel.
The 29-year-old also revealed that he wanted to return to Inter and the striker has now accepted his wish.
According to Atletico, Chelsea and Inter have agreed an €8m loan and additional bonus to pave the way for Lukaku to return to the San Siro.
Lukaku is also understood to have agreed to a reduction to guarantee the loan.
Lukaku will leave before returning to Serie A next week.
In December, Lukaku told Sky Sports Italia:
Before his move to Chelsea, Lukaku played a major role in winning the Serie A title with Antonio Conte’s Inter.
Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel wanted to stay with Lukaku, but the striker planned to return to Italy.
