European champion Grigoris Polychronidis, “bronze” Anna Denta

Grigoris Polychronidis, holder of six medals at the Paralympic Games, completed his efforts undefeated in the BC3 Men’s Bocia European Championship hosted in Seville and won the gold medal, the first after the change of categories in men and women.

Polychronidis in the final defeated the British Mulam 3-2, while earlier, in the semifinals, he had prevailed 8-2 over the Russian Legostaev.

For its part, Denta was defeated 4-2 in the semifinals by the Polish Ovchars, but took third place after the 4-3 victory over the Spaniard Buserit.

Papadakis, in the match for his entry in the quartet, was defeated 4-3 by the Slovak Kourilak, while Morfi-Metzu lost 1-0 to the German Raguvaran.

Finally, Soulanis in the match of the octave was defeated 4-2 by the British Smith.
