Ajax have accepted a £46m offer from Manchester United for defender Lisandro Martinez.
The Argentines did not attend the training sessions of the Dutch clubs today. Ajax chose to exclude him because they did not want to risk moving to Old Trafford.
United twice refused to bid Martinez and faced competition from Arsenal for the Argentine signing.
However, Martinez has revealed that he wants to meet Erik Ten Hag at Old Trafford, and talkSPORT has stated that a £46m deal has already been agreed.
The rates are good for both, Ajax demands a fee of 24 years and United receives in return a center back in the left foot.
Martinez is also good at left-backs and in defensive midfield, giving United versatility in the very difficult World Cup half-season.
The defender will be United’s second summer signing following the arrival of Tyrell Malacia.

Martinez will be able to join Australia’s United team when the Red Devils play Melbourne Victory on Friday.
United hope to complete their contract with Christian Eriksen in the coming days, but Danielle will need to receive rigorous medical attention due to her previous health problems.
The deal with Frankie de John is done, but United need to convince the midfielder to move to Old Trafford and resolve the transfer dispute with Barcelona.
