It is characteristic that, together with Greece, only the Netherlands and Latvia were left out of the list, while countries with a long sports tradition, such as Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Romania, remain under surveillance.
EOKAN fully complied with what WADA demands from its members, having the valuable assistance of the Deputy Minister of Sports Lefteris Avgenakis, who took all the necessary actions on the part of the Greek government, so that the world Code, to be ratified by the Greek Parliament and to meet the other conditions for the Organization set by WADA.
Within a short period of time, E.O.KAN. managed to sort out all the observations of the World Organization, which had accumulated from the abortions of previous years. More detail:

«WADA has recognized our efforts in recent months. This decision takes a burden off our shoulders and at the same time gives us the strength to continue our difficult work, taking further steps in the coming months. To bring E.O.KAN. closer to the real protagonists, our athletes, as a body that will be a multifaceted helper in their efforts, but also closer to society, so that future generations stay away from doping and its harmful effects on the body. I express my thanks to the State and especially to the Deputy Minister of Sports Lefteris Avgenakis, who supported the independence of EOKAN. at a substantial level and took all the necessary legislative actions for the compliance of the National Organization with WADA, as well as the former President of EOKAN. Panagiotis Skandalakis, who contributed decisively to the establishment of the Organization and during his term, the foundations were laid for the Organization to reach where it is today“, Stressed the Commander of the Organization, Dr. Grigoris Leon.
