Tyson Fury wants to fight again and despite Gipsy King’s claims that he retired after defeating Dillian White in June, his promoters have announced that he will compete with Oleksandr in the coming months and hopes to face Usyk.

The 33-year-old extended his professional record to 32-0-1 with a victory over White at Wembley, defending his WBC and Ring magazine heavyweight titles.

He then announced his retirement, but chose not to relinquish the belt until he was forced to, clearly indicating that he would likely defend it again.

Unsurprisingly, there is already talk that he could return to the ring soon, with British promoter Frank Warren hoping Fury will return to the ring.

But he said plans depend on what happens in the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua on August 20.

‘[Fury] He has an itchy leg right now and he wants to fight,” Warren told talkSPORT.

“What happens, look what happens on the 20th [August] And the result will determine what he will do in the future.

“In my opinion, it’s not his, it’s me. I think he will.” [return], because he is a fighter and I miss him. That’s what he does, he wants to fight.

“I don’t want him to retire and come back in three years. If he retires, don’t come back. If he does come back, fight for prime time. After three years, he changed. I really don’t think it’s peaked yet.

Warren was somewhat vague about how the fight with Usyk would affect Joshua’s plans, but Fury’s American promoter Bob Arum said the Ukrainian team would be victorious and Gypsy King would be all he wants to challenge him for the belt.

In fact, the two sets of representatives are already in talks, with the fight likely to be later this year or early 2023.

“We’ll let you know in the next few weeks when the Usyk-Joshua fight takes place,” Arum told Barbershop Conversations.

“I want Usyk to win, thinking.
