Jamie Carragher fears Jürgen Klopp is facing a “nightmare” situation with Darwin Nunes after the Liverpool striker was sent off on his home debut.

The Uruguayan international had a dream start to his career with the Reds after joining from club-record Benfica earlier in the summer.

Nunez scored his first goal in the Commonwealth Shield’s recent win over Manchester City and came on as a substitute off the bench last weekend to help Liverpool draw against newly promoted Fulham.

The 23-year-old made his debut last night against Crystal Palace, without Roberto Firmino, but the night ended when a Joachim Andersen header sent him off in the 57th minute.

Nunes will be suspended for the next three fights, including next Monday’s heavyweight match against Manchester United at Old Trafford, while Carragher will remain suspended until Klopp begins to fully reintegrate Kop’s new cult hero, and he believes that it could take another six weeks.

He told Sky Sports: He can’t fire all the guns. She may get upset and talk to men. But Darwin Núñez knows better than anyone that he made a big mistake.

“No objection, we all know. Liverpool fans can’t go with Anderson. I know they booed him in the stadium, but now that’s what fans do. He spoke to her and told her he would support her in the same way. that did it”. in previous seasons.

“He won’t be. I don’t know how the match will end or if there will be a cup match in between, but he will try to manage it without a match.

“Often you can’t train properly because you have a lot of games, but you work with him and push him up, but it’s a nightmare. It’s an absolute nightmare start for him. A nightmare for Klopp. Good start, he comes back and he’s about to Join this team again.

“Not tonight. Liverpool could still win tonight. The question is how long will it be before he’s back in the team and I think he’ll probably only be on the bench after these games. Right.

“It could really take five or six weeks to see him in the Liverpool XI.”

Teammate Gary Neville argued that no one took more offense than Nunes after he overcame a numerical deficit to score a credible point, but his opponents were the striker when he returned to the fold.

“I think the centre-backs are trying to provoke him now. They will put pressure on him, they will try to provoke him. If I play him in the next few weeks, I will,” he said.

“I think he will play against Jürgen Klopp tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, but above all you are the loneliest place in the world.

“It’s scary to be in that locker room when they’re on the court. I feel like I’m giving up on them. I don’t have to say much because they’re scared.”
